MEDICAL EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION

The Medical Equestrian Association (MEA) was founded, as a registered charity, in 1985 with an aim of improving medical standards at equestrian events across the country.  With HRH The Princess Royal its President since 1988, the MEA has grown to nearly 150 members, made up of medical professionals who provide medical services at equestrian sporting events.

The membership of the MEA comprises a variety of medical professionals, as well as a wide-ranging group of non-medical honorary members with varied and prominent roles in equestrian sport.

The charity is run by elected officers from the membership.
