ANNUAL MEA CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The MEA holds an Annual General Meeting and Conference annually, usually in November. Recent venues have included The Cambridge Belfry, De Vere Wokefield Park, Royal Agricultural University, Badminton House and many other country hotels and venues of equestrian interest. The day is designed to be of interest to any medical professional (or those in training) who are working or keen to work in equestrian sport. Our Conference is not restricted to MEA members however members do get a discounted rate.
MEDICAL EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2024
DATE: Friday 22nd November starting at 9.45am and finishing at 5.00pm
VENUE: The Stratford Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6QQ
Following the success of our case studies session at our 2023 Conference, we are hoping to be able to hold a similar session this year. If you have a case study which you would like to share, please do get in touch with our Chair, Dr Andy.
We have several speakers presenting research which we hope will be interesting: CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
The day will end with the Equestrian Sport Panel with a number of equestrian body heads who will be able to provide updates and take questions from those attending.
The Annual MEA Dinner will be held at the hotel on Friday evening. The dinner is not exclusive to attendees of the conference. This means any of you attending could bring a partner who may wish to explore what Stratford has to offer before joining us in the evening!
We have secured reduced accommodation rates for the rooms at the venue for the Thursday and/or Friday night for those that wish to stay at the Hotel on either night. Your room can be booked via the application form. Please note that we do not have an indefinite number of rooms allocated so please book sooner rather than later. Rooms can also be booked directly via the hotel or on booking.com.
Here is the application form - it is an editable form so you should be able to do it on a computer without having to print the form. Please return any forms to [email protected]. If you have any issues please do let Gemma know via the above email.
