ANNUAL MEA CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The MEA holds an Annual General Meeting and Conference annually, usually in November. Recent venues have included The Cambridge Belfry, De Vere Wokefield Park, Royal Agricultural University, Badminton House and many other country hotels and venues of equestrian interest. The day is designed to be of interest to any medical professional (or those in training) who are working or keen to work in equestrian sport. Our Conference is not restricted to MEA members however members do get a discounted rate.
 
MEDICAL EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026
DATE: Friday 20th November starting at 9.50am and finishing at 5.15pm
VENUE: The Stratford Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6QQ

A full day of talks and discussions focused on medical response, rider welfare, and safety in equestrian sport. Our Conference is not restricted to the MEA members; however, members get a discounted rate. We welcome any medical professional or those in related roles who provide services or have an interest in equestrian sport – no matter what the discipline.

During the day, CMOs from equestrian sports will provide any updates to medical rules or guidelines within their discipline and provide an opportunity for members to feedback.

The Annual MEA Dinner is in the evening at the hotel. The dinner is not exclusive to attendees of the conference. Partners are more than welcome.

6. To elect new officers and members to Council: 
   1. Hon Tresasuer: James Pitt has completed his term of office and therefore there is a position available on council.
   2. Full member: Clare has completed her term on the council and therefore there is a position available on council for a Full Member. 
7. Any other business: Training report from Dr K Hartington
