RACECOURSE SERIOUS INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
This protocol was written to address various recurrent concerns identified following several high profile incidents on racecourses and other equestrian events. It addresses the competing priorities and forms a framework for professionals to work together following established principles.
Graham Potts, BHA vet and Jason Loosemore, clerk of course at Exeter were heavily involved along with several BARTA Fire and Rescue Teams.
The documents have been tested and formed the basis of much training across different teams and locations resulting in updates along the way.
